Hardiflex Eaves

Fast and easy to install and ideal for additional fire protection

  • The speed at which the pre-cut sheets can be joined and installed makes them a cost-effective solution to the often difficult task of fixing eaves.
  • The combination of the James Hardie™ PVC Straight Jointer and the wide variety of sheet sizes pre-cut specifically for eaves makes it easy and fast to install by tradespeople, owner-builders and renovators.
  • Made from James Hardie fibre cement, HardieFlex sheet is non-combustible, making it ideal for use in homes built within bushfire-prone areas because it provides additional protection against the ingress of burning embers. HardieFlex sheet is resistant to damage from termites, rot and fire.

Alternatively, you may like to upgrade to Gyprock Aquachek plasterboard. This gypsum plasterboard’s core, face and back are treated to make it resistant to moisture and humidity without compromising integrity. It doesn’t require PVC joint strips resulting in a smooth ceiling surface. More information, please see here.

PlywoodPlywood is also a great alternative for eave linings of balconies and alfresco dining areas. A good quality polyurethane finish or staining brings out the hoop pine colour and grain. Hoop pine, being a designated marine specie is dimensionally stable, easy to work and is suitable for applications involving long term exposure to Australia’s harsh environment without fear of delamination. Please see here for more details.

Glosswood’s White Gloss is a lightweight prefinished timber lining board with an all-over white finish and natural grain showthrough. Because it is prefinished, no sanding, painting, varnishing or tricky carpentry is needed. It has a V-joint tongue-and-groove profile for easy installation with a brad gun and glue. Comes with matching trims and mouldings. For more information on this and many more glosswood colours available, please see here.
